Baby Deli and Huertocity presents the workshop “Little Gardeners”
It is important, since childhood, have contact with nature, know their cycles and know what are the plants that feed us throughout our lives.
This contact with nature is becoming more sporadic for a family in a city like Barcelona, so we present this workshop in which we approach nature from the standpoint of urban organic gardener, touching soil, plants and bugs!
The workshop will run from sensory experimentation with aromas and flavors while we know the plants tested and smelling. Also look around the garden insects between plants and soil and make measurements of the pH of both soil and water.

Back to the workshop we will germination of a bean in a glass jar, will share a pot for each of us in which he raised an aromatic plant a radish and leave a transplant site for the bean. This task will be to house and we have to wait for the seed to germinate prior to transplantation.
Once home we have to choose the location for our pot and the location for the glass jar with the bean. The pot should go somewhere sunny as possible. You can be next to a window or on the terrace. The glass jar with the bean must be in a dark place until they germinate and when measuring approx. 3 cm for transplanted to the pot.
Both the land and the cotton inside the glass jar should be kept wet until the plants are born. Radishes must grow out of the pot first, after 3 to 5 days, then the bean sprout in glass jar and transplanted into the same pot in which we finally have a bean, a radish and an aromatic plant that we can begin to consume immediately.
Thus, children experience the garden since its inception, its development and its ultimate objective, fresh and healthy food and green kit.
